I am a Royal Society Dorothy Hodgkin Research Fellow at the University of Exeter’s Cornwall Campus.  I have a broad interest in animal behaviour, perception and cognition. My research primarily focuses on the production and perception of visual and acoustic signals, with a particular focus visual illusions used in mate choice and in predator-prey interactions. I am also interested in the acquisition and function of vocal mimicry in songbirds. Further details of my work are given on the research page.
